Purpose and objectives of the role
You will have responsibility for the payroll bureau in our accountancy practice.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Updating and maintaining client payroll records
- Liaising with clients to ascertain payroll information
- Processing a bureau of c.130 Moneysoft payroll clients
- Resolution of both client and HMRC payroll queries
- Making timely CIS submissions to HMRC
- Updating client on relevant legislative and process changes
- Providing accounts teams with relevant client payroll information
- Completion and submission of P11Ds
- Assisting and supporting the accounts and administrative teams
- Support and encourage a positive team ethos
Your professional experience and skills
- At least two years’ experience of working in a payroll role
- Methodical and highly organised working skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to deal effectively with issues in person and by telephone
- Desire to be flexible and proactive in suggesting ideas for streamlining the processes
- Using initiative to identify appropriate solutions to problems
- Ability to work independently and manage own workload
- Strong team working skills
- Calm, efficient and resilient under pressure
- High degree of IT literacy including Microsoft Office programmes

Job Type: 22.5 hours worked over 5 days Monday to Friday. Our business offers flexible working patterns.
